Objectivo

AM symbiosis play a key ecological functions, so, with this proposal, I have two main objectives that expand on the work previously developed. These objectives are necessarily interlinked, as they deal with (1) AMF species identification and (2) their potential application in habitat restoration. For this reason, I intend to use different methods of AMF culture establishment, to isolate and characterise arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi, both from already described species and novel taxa, which could contribute as potential inoculum into a restoration program. Those approaches include thorough investigation of morphological characteristics and molecular biological techniques.
