Objectivo
This project focuses on supporting the Azores’ sustainable tourism goals by conducting research on the needs and challenges of local fishing communities whose livelihoods depend on ocean access. Through collaboration with the Marine Spatial Planning Platform and the Universidade dos Açores, the work aims to contribute to environmentally responsible development while strengthening understanding of community perspectives within marine‑dependent economies.
