Objectives

To characterize the behavior of oceanic-stage loggerheads in the Azores archipelago foraging and developmental ground and to evaluate potential effects of noise pollution on the physiology and behavior of these juvenile individuals.

Results & Impact

This research will highlight the importance of understanding sensory mechanisms for conservation efforts in critical habitats such as this region where there has been an increase in maritime activities and transport.
