MISTIC SEAS III

Developing a coordinated approach for assessing Descriptor 4 via its linkages with D1 and other relevant descriptors in the Macaronesian sub-region

Aim of the project

MISTIC SEAS III aims to support a sub-regional approach for the evaluation of the good environmental status (GES) of marine waters in the Macaronesia, in compilation with the Decision 2017/848 of the Commission, specifically in relation to Descriptor 4 (D4 – Food Webs). This action proposes a common approach, species and metrics for Macaronesia aiming to maximize synergies between indicators, monitoring programs and measures already developed for D1 (biodiversity) and D3 (commercial species) in the previous MISTIC SEAS 1 and 2 projects.
