European Regions Research and Innovation Network
With the participation of the Azores to ERRIN, through the FRCT, it will be possible to establish synergies, at the most varied levels and integrate the 13 international working groups guided by specialists. In this way, this network will enhance the participation and integration of  the Azorean stakeholders in European projects on the various topics relevant to the RAA, namely, the sea, smart cities, energy and climate, tourism, the bioeconomy and innovation and the investment.

EurOcean is a focal point for information on marine science and technology in Europe and its Internet portal is aiming to provide information on topics related to marine science and technology in Europe with a priority given to two main domains: marine research infrastructures and European research, technology, and development information. EurOcean contributes to the initiatives aiming to implement a Marine European Research Area and a European maritime policy.

Network of European Regions Using Space Technologies is an initiative by regions from all over Europe. Emphasis is placed on the use of space technologies. The network aims to explore the benefits of space technologies for Regions and their citizens and to spread their applications.

European Citizen Science Association
The European Citizen Science Association (ECSA) is a non-profit association set up to encourage the growth of the Citizen Science movement in Europe. It draws on 200 individual and organizational members from over 28 countries across the European Union and beyond. Launched during the EU GREEN WEEK in June 2013, ECSA has grown from an informal network of researchers and communicators interested in Citizen Science into the European reference network of Citizen Science initiatives.

The Seal of Excellence
The Seal of Excellence is a quality label awarded to projects submitted to Horizon 2020 which were deemed to deserve funding but did not receive it due to budget limits. It recognizes the value of the proposal and supports the search for alternative funding. Solutions in the energy, transport, and ICT, in small and medium sized cities and islands.
